This interactive installation invites the visitors to partake in a moment of surveillance, and questions power relationships as they relate to confined space, the watchtower mentality and more.
Visitors who approach the container assume a position of power over those that have entered the Camera Obscura’s field of vision from outside the container. The inside visitors are invited to attempt to interact, coerce, control, direct, and motivate those on the outside via the microphone. A game of chance, the work engages the participants to explore the relationships between space, power, voyeurism and architecture and technology as a means of dominance.
